Never heard of this term? Neither had I, until 2 weeks ago. I wore my new Zara Pleated skirt into the office, when my Creative Director upon passing by in the hallway said, "you guys and your millennial pink!" I looked past her confused, what was she talking about and why was someone older telling me? I must be slipping!!! Lol.
Well thanks to good ole Google, I found out it's a term used for the dusty pinks, semi-pink nudes or blushes you currently see everywhere on brands, influencers, various Instagram feeds and even new restaurant decor. Then after reading , New York Magazine’s The Cut, it confirmed to me it’s here to stay.
Pink has always been a color I have enjoyed wearing. It is fun, positive, and sweet. However; I love to wear it with a contrasting black, because it then becomes seductive, as shown below on a recent evening out.
With this look, because the top was va va boom 💥, I kept the bottom simple. My closet was missing black pumps and these Paul Andrew shoes fit the bill. I loved the added statement of the heel, which is shaped to mimic the iconic NYC Chrysler building. Also I found these at a recent sale at the designers showroom, $50 was a score for a $995 pair of shoes. The shoes gave me extra height and provided great arch support walking these NY streets. Also the Zenadia is a classic style for this designer and you can find a number of colors online, here.
