Sale Review: Wolford
This morning I got up bright and early to attend the Wolford sample sale. I first got wind of this sale from a post by Chicmi, and gleefully awaited its confirmation on being a reality. This is the first US sample sale for Wolford, and with those you never know what to expect in regards to inventory and/or pricing.
A bit of a background on the brand; Wolford’s name is synonymous with quality. The line is famous for its unusual patterns, top-notch construction and durability. Bras—with straps that can be twisted and tied—and seamless panties are virtually invisible when worn underneath a body hugging dress, Their bodysuits can add a subtle seductiveness when worn under business attire. Adorned and unique printed tights are my favorite from the brand.
I arrived to the 260 Sample Sale location at 8:30 am for the 10:00 am opening...( Yes I go that hard sometimes). Especially if I want to give my readers the inside scoop!!! :)At 9am, there were only 2 of us on line. Lucky for me the doors opened at 9:15am, so I was able to get in before any crowds. Tights, socks, and thin leggings aligned the left wall of the sale venue. Sizes ranged from XS -X Large. Each size had about 4-5 bins packed with various styles. I saw basic colors: nudes, blacks, and navy. And fun fashion colors in burgundy, grey, and greens. In the gallery below I have featured key or stand out styles. Most of the tights fell into the $18 price point. I spied key styles suck as Satin Touch, Sheer 15, Shape & Control, and Pure 50. Tights also seemed to be the hot item at the sale. I personally focused on the socks as I thought they would be fun for Spring. Tights I can hold off on for possible markdowns.
Bras could be found in the back by the dressing room. I saw ladies with handfuls. They went from cup size A-E. However as you can see below there were not many in the larger E-cup and I was the first person into the sale. Bras at the sale are $55, while accompanying panties were priced at $35.
RTW filled up the center on the 260 Sample Sale floor. Here you could find bodysuits, tops and dresses in viscose, merino wool, or cotton. All RTW is 70% off the retail price. Inventory ranged in sizes XS-Large in the items I checked. Most of the RTW bodysuits I saw were a string body. I saw Colorado, Viscose, and Buenos Aires Body styles to name a few. Fatal, Barcelona, and Pure Plus dresses could be found on the racks. I loved the Leafage top, Filagra Lace top, and Tuck shirt.

Overall if you love the brand I think this is a sale you should take a peak into. The styles available are classic and can last for years. The staff from the brand were friendly, engaging, and very helpful. I got word that restocking will occur daily, so if you haven't visited yet, you will not have missed out! I did notice most of the inventory had outlet stickers, but many of the neutral colored items are still online at full price at retailers and Wolford.
If you are like me and want really really discounted prices, I would say hold off until the last few days of the sale. I will be posting on Twitter on Instagram stores if I hear about further markdowns. This is when I will be shopping!!
