Fall Trends: The Leather Jacket

IMG_2428.JPG

And we thought Fall was here! But instead we have hot days and cool nights. The forecast is 88 for the next 3 days.  That is why during this time of year it's best to identify those pieces that can transition or add a layering element to the summer wardrobe.  So happy my summer clothing was not placed in storage yet!

Here I took a multi-printed bathing suit and re-purposed it as a bodysuit with my new favorite type of pants; wide leg culottes. I added a pair of contrasting tie-dyed print heels, to keep with the tribal vibe I was feeling inspired by.

For the chill of night by the water I definitely needed to break out a leather jacket. This is the perfect item to rev up any outfit; especially a moto jacket style. It adds edge to a soft look, and I just find them so chic! I always recommend you purchase a black leather jacket first and foremost as this will go with the most colors. Also I like my leather jackets oversized, remember I told you guys loose is my new fitted.

HOWEVER, if black is already found in your closet, why not take it up a notch with one in a warm, distressed or metallic color way. If you follow me you are sure to find one at a steal of a price! Did I tell you about my $895 Edun ivory leather coat I scored for $25 brand new?!?!

Here I am wearing a Acne Studios jacket in Wildberry I found on Saks Fifth Avenue online during the Clearance sale. I always wait for the additional percentage off + ebates to give me the highest discount and deal possible.
