Paisley print

I have finally gotten around this month to really taking time to decorate the apartment we just moved in to. A whole 6 moths later. But hey, better late than never! Last week I proceeded with the bedroom clearing out clothing, shoes, and accessories I had hidden in the closet and under the bed. I spent hours opening every box, dustbag, and box; surprisingly finding things I haven't worn in YEARS!

So this day as I headed to work I paired my Cinq À Sept Minella Off-the-shoulder Paisley Dress with some oldies I found over the weekend in my closet.

This has been one of my favorite dresses to wear this summer! I love a off-the-shoulder neckline and the short flutter sleeves add playfulness. The shift silhouette and relaxed fit help me to stay cool during the hot and humid days we have had in NYC. I know ruffle is big this spring but I prefer the subtleness of this dresses tiered, asymmetric ruffled hem.

I purchased these Alexander Wang Mila Strappy Sandal Heel at the designers sample sale hosted by 260 Sample Sale a few years back. They retailed for $650, but I was able to purchase for $75, giving me a great discount. The Moschino clutch adds some animation to the look and is great is I wanted to transition from work to happy hour. I also love that it had a wrist strap.

What are your favorite items to wear during the summer? Have you ever shopped your closet as oppose to buying something new? If not, I dare you to dig deep, high or low and tell me what you find!
