Sale Review: Maje
I spent some time visiting the Maje sample sale that begins today at 260 Sample sale. For those new to the brand: Maje is the chic Parisian label from Moroccan-born designer Judith Milgrom. Created for a woman who is "a lover of bohemian, feminine fashion", the brand's aesthetic is softly draped silk dresses and classic coverups in wool and leather.
The atmosphere was pretty quiet this time around. It could be because sister brand Sandro was not available. The pricing is pretty straight forward for this sale and is visible upon entry. They also provided a very useful conversion chart for the FR sizing can be a bit confusing to the US customer.
The sale assortment featured items from the brands Fall 16 and Spring 16 collections. The sizing was wide, and the stock was plentiful by style. Dresses and jackets were the highlights of this sale for me. You can see a few of my favorites below.
The accessories were nice but if you are not dying for a piece I would skip them or wait for a markdown. The shoe selection was very limited in my opinion. One standout for me was the Maje Fiesty Ankle boots. Also, with sandals starting at $105 it was a tad bit pricey for me and I would wait for possible markdowns.

I spotted 2 styles of bathing suits in the sale mixed in with the tops.
Shoes we found in the back of the room. The assortment included sandals, espedrilles, heels, sneakers and ankle boots. Most were in the color black or tan.
As I mentioned previously dresses were the highlight of the sale for me. You could find 2 long racks full of options. Mixed in with dresses were your occasional jumpsuits or rompers.
If you are a true fan of the brand, I recommend you attend and will be sure to find something you love. For a bargainista like myself, the prices are still a bit too high and I recommend keep a look out for additional markdowns.
